Project: 10th Perspectives Film Festival

Perspectives Film Festival: Breakthroughs in Cinema is an annual arts event that features breakthrough films that are thematically curated. The festival is a practicum course run by the faculty of the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) and is organised by undergraduates from Nanyang Technological University (NTU). It is the only student-run film festival in Singapore.

The 10th anniversary edition of the festival was themed "Rebels". The festival screened 11 films, including 3 Singapore premieres and 3 Restored Classics, and had 2 sold-out screenings.

Presented in conjunction with the festival was an ancillary event titled “A New World: The Cinematic Virtual Reality Experience”, which brought together pioneers in the local VR industry to share their experiences in an interactive panel discussion/Q&A session, followed by screenings of 6 Virtual Reality short films.
